Geocache Description:

Welcome to James H. “Sloppy” Floyd State Park!!!  This is a 561 acre park with 2 lakes, playgrounds, picnic shelters, campsites and more!! 😎  There are over 5 miles of hiking trails that take you around the lakes, to an old Marble Mine and even connect to the Pinhoti Trail.  The addition of new geocaches will hopefully enhance your time out on the trails. 😃

Upper Lake Loop Trail

The Upper Lake Trail may be started at the park office or in the day-use picnic area. This trail takes you over open water, across the boardwalk and between the twin lakes offering great birding opportunities. Meandering through several wooded, fern covered hillsides the upper lake trail also showcases many woodland wildflowers.

You are looking for a large lock-n-lock container.

*Please note there is a $5 daily park pass required for each vehicle in the park.  You can also purchase an annual pass at friendsofgastateparks.org or at the Visitor's Center.

**Park Hours are 7am-10pm; Office hours are 8am-5pm
