This is one of two caches hidden to commemorate the airmen who died when their Mosquito aircraft crashed on Aran Fawddwy on 9th February 1944. More info can be found here
This cache is hidden alongside the aircraft engine which has been mounted on a stone base to commemorate those killed, while it's partner cache (LR412 #2) is hidden alongside the aircrafts propeller on the way up Aran Fawaddwy.
This is a well disguised micro cache but can be accessed from outside the enclosure meaning there is no requirement to enter the enclosure, or climb over the fence to where the engine has been mounted. This is a memorial and should be treated as such.
