Cache is a Pill bottle within site of this Solar Facility, not far off the paved bike trail.
Currently, it is a fineable offense to ride an e-bike on the Welland Canal trails.
The City of Welland reminds all residents that using motorized vehicles on public parks and trails is strictly prohibited. Those violating by-law 2000-175 face a $500 fine for the first offence; subsequent offences carry a $1,000 fine. City parks and trails are meant for passive use, and motorized vehicles, such as ATVs and E-Bikes, can cause damage to the natural state of the areas and pose dangers to those using these areas on foot.
This could be a P&G if the gravel parking lot is available to park in, entrance at end of Thorold Road.
This Welland Hydro Solar Facility produces 500KW of power.
It's a joint venture between Welland Hydro Energy Services and the local municipality is running at full capacity and creating less pressure on the electrical grid that serves homes and businesses in the city.
Two solar farms both consisting of 1,757 panels began fully operating recently - one behind the local utility's headquarters on East Main Street and other near the recreational canal and Thorold Road.
Play safe and stay away from the power facility, it is fully fenced in.
Congratulations to DCBRJ for FTF
