Sixty Six Steps to Union Street from The Green
Allegedly this is where a house stood since demolished in the late 1800s and was one of the locations where merchants kept kidnapped children. During the 1740's these children would be sold as servants in the American colonies, its thought that there may have been 700 children at least tricked, kidnapped or forcibly taken from their families. It is said that a piper was employed to drown out their cries.
