Geocache Description:

Wairopi

Wairopi is a village along the Kumusi River, about 50 kilometres from the northern Papuan coast, in Oro Province, Papua New Guinea. The village lies along the Kokoda Track.

At Wairopi, which drew its name from the pidgin rendering of wire rope, there was a bridge suspended by steel cables across the Kumusi River.

At Ground Zero you will find yourself on Wairopi Street. May the geocache be ever in your favour!

CONGRATULATIONS TO "AtTheLakeHouse" GEOCACHERS FOR BEING THE FIRST TO FIND THIS GEOCACHE (FTF WINNERS) ON 17 APRIL 2022!!!
