Welcome to Tutaenui Reservoir situated about 10 kms out of Marton. The lower reservoir has a loop walk on a crushed lime path and is an easy stroll of around an hour to stop and enjoy the variety of views, and find some caches of course!
When placed this 5 litre bucket cache contained a couple of inner containers. One contains the usual stash-note, though please BYOP to sign, and some small swaps. The other container holds a modified 3B1 pad for those letterboxers amongst you, and a stamp. Please leave the stamp in place once finished, and you will need your own ink-pad.
There are a variety of bird species at the reservoir, an information board and pictures at the start point, and a couple of benches to rest and/or eat your packed lunch. Dogs are allowed on-lead.
