In 2016 my grandma published a cookbook combining years of recipes she collected from friends and family over generations of time. My cousin (Ripleys Finest) and I had the idea of placing 100 caches the summer of 2022 as we thoroughly enjoy finding them. After talking to our grandma and gaining her permission, we wanted to share the cookbook with everyone! We hope you enjoy finding the caches as well as making a dish to share with your family as well! All 100 will be placed between 4/15/2022 and 10/1/2022.
Crescent rolls with apples and cinnamon
- 2 green apples, peeled and sliced in to 16 pieces
- 2 cans crescent rolls (16 rolls total)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ cup butter
- 12 oz. can Mt. Dew
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray 9x13 pan. Wrap one apple slice in each piece of crescent roll, 16 all together. Lay each apple wrap crescent in prepared pan. In pan over medium-high heat, mix together sugar, cinnamon, and butter and cook, stirring till melted, and cook one minute. Drizzle over each apple wrap. Pour 12-oz can Mt. Dew over whole pan. Bake uncovered 45 minutes.
