Le cache “alte” si caratterizzano dalla difficoltà di essere raggiungibili solo attraverso un attrezzo capace di “pescarle” ad una altezza di diversi metri, inoltre queste, collocate intorno al Lago di Mezzola, sono accessibili solo via acqua.
La ricerca si svolge nella Riserva Naturale Pian di Spagna e Lago di Mezzola: un' “area umida” protetta, riconosciuta come sito di importanza comunitaria con, in particolare, la finalità di “assicurare l’ambiente idoneo alla sosta e alla nidificazione dell’avifauna migratoria”. Per questo la visita deve avvenire nel massimo rispetto dei suoi “abitanti”, in modo particolare nella stagione di nidificazione.
L’accesso ai natanti a motore è soggetto a limiti precisi, inoltre la collocazione delle cache è tale da rendere molto difficile, accostarsi con mezzi di dimensioni superiori a quelle di un comune kayak; l’impiego, a scelta, di kayak, canoa o tavola SUP è quindi vivamente consigliato !!
Il lago di Mezzola è soggetto a notevoli “alti e bassi” a seconda della piovosità della stagione che potrebbero comportare difficoltà aggiuntive. Il moto ondoso, può essere molto pronunciato e, in relazione al vento, peggiorare repentinamente. Tenete d’occhio le previsioni prima di programmare l’uscita.
Non cercate di accedere via terra: non ci sono tracce per raggiungere le coordinate partendo dai sentieri soprastanti. Inoltre non fate affidamento sulle vostre abilità di arrampicatori: vi servirà comunque l’attrezzo.
Considerate la combinazione di difficoltà e terreno prima di decidere di andare a cercare queste cache; se non siete adeguatamente attrezzati e/o non vi sentite preparati rinunciate o rimandate a quando lo sarete.

The "high" caches are characterized by the difficulty of being reachable only by means of a tool capable of "fishing" them at a height of several meters, furthermore these, located around lake of Mezzola, are accessible only by water.
The research takes place in the Pian di Spagna and Lake of Mezzola Nature Reserve: a protected "wetland", recognized as a site of community importance with, in particular, the purpose of "ensuring the environment suitable for stopping and nesting the migratory birdlife ". For this reason, the visit must take place with the utmost respect for its "inhabitants", especially during the nesting season.
Access to motor boats is subject to precise limits, furthermore the location of the caches is such as to make it very difficult to approach with vehicles larger than those of a common kayak; the use of a kayak, canoe or SUP board is therefore highly recommended !!
The lake of Mezzola is subject to considerable “ups and downs” depending on the rainfall of the season which could cause additional difficulties. The wave motion can be very pronounced and, in relation to the wind, suddenly worsen. Keep an eye on the forecasts before planning the release.
Do not try to access by land: there are no tracks to reach the coordinates starting from the paths above. Also, do not rely on your climbing skills: you will need the tool anyway.
Consider the combination of difficulty and terrain before deciding to go looking for these caches; if you are not adequately equipped and / or do not feel prepared, give up or postpone until you are.
