Geocache Description:

This area is inhabited by an old Tokoloshe.

In the past, the water ran deep here, and where the streams met, Palmiet [Prionium serratum] grew thick and high. Every couple of decades, the Kwazunga river would rage, and the Palmiet would absorb most of the rivers anger.

The Tokoloshe would put a magic stone in its mouth, whenever it wanted to become invisible, and he would often sit on the surrounding hills, in a sheltered spot and observe people below.

Sometimes he could see people startle, and look around, sensing that something was watching them. If only they were little children, he thought, as he had often played with little children in the dongas and water courses, but when the children started to grow up, they forgot about him, and he in turn became invisable to them.

Not so long ago, only a couple of hundred years ago, a few Khoi San families lived here, and he would spend many happy days, playing with the little brown children in the water courses, but then, suddenly tall people came, and hunted down the Khoi San, and killed them not too far from here, even his little playmates.

The Tokoloshe sighed, strangely, now a days, these strange new people walk a curious zig-zag path, looking at something on their hand, scratching under rocks and peering into bushes, and it's not for something to eat!

Very strange indeed!
