Beyond this cache is the former Van Hook Golf Course, the former home of USM's golf team, and Lake Sehoy, which boasts a Challenge Course that features a low-ropes course and dual zipline for groups that are looking to enhance team morale, leadership skills, communication, and trust. This area is now part of the The University of Southern Mississippi Innovation and Commercialization Park (The Innovation Park), a technology-based economic development ecosystem designed for taking innovative technological developments from concept to commercialization. The park boasts a dynamic community of academics, researchers, entrepreneurs, privately-held and publicly-traded companies, all working to bring innovations to market.
