Hattiesburg GeoTour

Cache Location
The District at Midtown, a humming complex of restaurants, stores, condominiums, and a hotel, offers visitors and residents alike an array of “eat-play-stay” options from early morning to late at night, just two miles west of Downtown Hattiesburg. It is directly across Hardy Street from The University of Southern Mississippi campus and within easy walking distance of the 547-bed Forrest General Hospital and the 350-provider Hattiesburg Clinic.
Anchoring the project, and the namesake of this geocache, is Hotel Indigo, a 100-room boutique hotel that draws its design theme from Hattiesburg’s past as a railroading and timber center. Southern traditions and contemporary customs come together at the Hotel Indigo Hattiesburg to create an energetic vibe that can be only found in the Hub City. The hotel's industrial chic design gives a nod to the city's timber and railroad heritage, with light fixtures inspired by train tunnel lighting and upholstery details reminiscent of historic conductor uniforms.
