Awesome Geiger Overlook CITO

Greetings everyone! I wish you all well at the time of reading this. We have contacted Washoe County and have permission to be at the park on that date as long as we do not exceed over 25 people per event. Please provide a headcount before committing.
There's one main area that needs cleaning is the lookout itself but the entire area is covered with glass, tags, and other trash. We have personally wanted to clean this area for the last 2 years but COVID has made that difficult. Now that everything is safer we feel comfortable moving forward.

Please contact us if you have any questions. There are some tough rock climbing spots but we can handle these as long as the Geocaching community assists us. We can make a lot of progress in an hour and we can make a beautiful gorgeous city overlook that much better with the help of our awesome community! If you have any questions or requests please let me know! I shall try my best to provide the best experience possible!

Friendly Reminders:

- There are no public restrooms at this overlook. However there are public restrooms about 5 minutes away down the road. Please use the restroom before we reach the overlook. If you need any assistance please contact us.

WE ARE PROVIDING:
-
Light Snacks (Organic Sandwich Platter)
- Trash Picker Upper Sticks
(Please return them)
- Signal the Frog Bags and TB's possibly more.
- First aid kits will be available in case (knock on wood) any accidents occur. Both supervisors are CPR/First Aid Certified.

UPDATE/SITUATION:

Some of the trashiest areas at Geiger Overlook are also some of the hardest to reach so some rock climbing will be required to reach these areas. I will be handle most of this on my own as I do not intend for anyone to be put into danger. I will simply need an assistant which will more than likely be my friend.

LASTLY

- There is no dumpster at Geiger Overlook, we will be manually removing everything at the end of the cleanup
by placing it into our vehicle

- A member expressed a situation in regards to transportation... There is no bus route available to this route. If anyone needs to be picked up we can assist with this matter.

Please contact me at your earliest convenience if you have any questions comments or concerns and I shall address them.
Stay Awesome Our Amazing Friends,

Alec AKA Chunks
