International Geocaching Day takes place every third Saturday in August — August 20 this year. It’s a day full of enjoyable outdoor activities. Today, people of all ages gather to commemorate the placement and discovery of geocaches all across the world. Every year, new people join the activity since the quest for geocaches is always a lot of fun. And there’s no telling what kind of surprise you’ll get when you find a geocache.
UPDATE:
This event is part of The Great Victorian Cache Crawl. To help celebrate International Geocaching Day in 2022, a number of COs have put together a series of events across the state as part of the inaugural Great Victorian Cache Crawl. The aim is to help maximise the opportunity for cachers to locate a nearby event and celebrate International Geocaching Day 2022. This year, the event crawl reaches from Phillip Island all the way across to Queenscliff. Also in 2022, Geocaching HQ is aiming to break the world record for the most people caching on the same day. So why not gather all your caching friends and attend an event to participate in this record breaking attempt.

Are you a newbie geocacher attending your first event? If you enjoy geocaching and wish to take your membership further, you will be eligible for 1 month free upgrade to a premium membership. See Larafolk at the event for the details.
