This Geocache Series has one cache for each of the 12 monthly Full Moons plus two bonus caches. Coordinates for the bonus caches may be discovered in the covers of some of the caches in the series.
The Full Moon has been integral to tracking the change of months and seasons since ancient times. Although the most commonly used Full Moon names are English interpretations of Native American names, some are also Celtic, Anglo-Saxon, medieval English, and Neo-Pagan. Many of the names come from the Colonial Americans adopting Native American names into their calendars, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac.
The Full Moon in November is named after beavers who can be seen preparing for the winter. Native Americans also called it the Frost Moon and Freezing Moon.
In Celtic tradition, it is also called the Mourning Moon and the Darkest Depths Moon.
Bonus Caches
SDGA24.13 - Full Corn Moon GCA9T6R and SDGA24.14 - Full Blue Moon GCAV8M1 are Bonus Caches.
(A type of Mystery Cache). In the covers of some of the cache containers in the series one will find clues to the coordinates of the Bonus Caches. Watch for them.

This cache is located within Lower Huron Metropark, a part of the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority park system. A Metropark Vehicle Entry Permit is required: Annual Permit $40. Senior (62+) Permit $29. Daily Permit $10.
