Geocache Description:

B.Y.O.P.
There are a total of 14 covered bridges in Bedford County. Four of them are privately owned. Three others are already cache locations. I plan on completely a series to finish out all the covered bridges in the county that are not privately owned. For a complete listing of covered bridges in Bedford County, you may go to their visitor bureaus website.

This bridge, which stands at the entrance to Old Bedford Village, just north of Bedford, was built in 1880. It was built in Reynoldsdale and was moved to its present location in 1975. A pedestrian walkway was added to the original structure. It is a burr truss design which has been reinforced with steel to support bus traffic that frequents Old Bedford Village. The structure is unpainted. County owned. The roof is constructed of Cedar shakes and the deck consists of crossboard planks. It sits on poured concrete abutments.

Cache container is not located on the bridge.
