There once was a little girl named Clare, and Mill Lake Park was her favourite place in the world. She loved nature, and being outdoors - finding the best rocks, and bunnies, and flowers that no-one else would pick - the ones that were missing petals, the imperfect ones, were the most precious in her sight.
Clare passed tragically at the tender age of 5 years old. Inspired by the pink bench placed on the north side of the lake, in beloved memory of Jaida Kooy, Clare's family sought to do the same. However, in the application process, they learned that the approval to paint Jaida's bench pink was a (fortunate) clerical accident, and it would not be allowed again.
Originally, the plan was for Clare's cache to be placed at the pink bench. However, the bench metal is not magnetic! So instead it is placed with Tate - another gone too soon.
