Geocache Description:

The SFE (Something For Everyone) Challenge Series is a mix of challenge caches of varying difficulty.
  • Some you may already qualify for.
  • Some you may decide are not for you.
  • Some you may choose as a goal to achieve.
  • It's up to you.

In accordance with the 2016 Challenge cache regulations:
  • The cache is hidden at the posted coordinates.
  • You may put your name in the logbook at any time but you may only log a find when you have qualified as well. There is a challenge checker link below to use to check this.
  • The D rating reflects the difficulty of the challenge. The T rating reflects the terrain of the hide.
  • The CO has qualified for this challenge.

The Lawrie Keats Challenge:
  • Lawrie loves finding caches that are hidden in trees. But he is not a keen tree climber. Rather he has other methods to get to caches.
  • So this is a challenge for those people that like signing the logbooks of caches hidden up in trees but prefer to do so without actual climbing - although cimbing may still be an option for some.
  • But to avoid climbing means using a TOTT of some sort (unless you have Lawrie’s skillset). In this case a Tree Fishing pole wuld be helpful.
  • There is no specific attribute for these Tree Fishing TOTTs as yet. So we have used a mix of attributes and criteria. You will need all of these to qualify:
    • Both a “No tree climbing required" attribute and a “TOTT required" attribute.
    • A Difficulty and/or a Terrain rating of 3.5 or greater.
    • You need to find 50 caches which match these criteria.
    • Finds must include 5 different cache types.
  • ***NOTE: please bring him down vertically by shortening your pole. He is heavy and if you try to lower him by letting your pole bend, he may drop and/or your pole may break. DO NOT STAND DIRECTLY UNDERNEATH HIM***
  • We have based this mix of criteria on those used for a similar challenge put out by Orange Crew in Queensland.
  • We do realise that some Tree Fishing caches may not have these attributes, and some that are not Tree Fishing caches may have them. This is not important as it is the combination of these attributes which will get you a smile from the checker.
  • This is a slightly complex challenge so you need to be guided by the checker. If it says yes, then you are good. If it says no, then not yet.
  • The Challenge Checker below will tell you if you qualify.
Retrieving the cache
  • As this is a challenge for experienced Tree Fishers, don't expect Lawrie to be a featherweight. wink
