Location: Cache is available from Dawn to Dusk. Do not visit at night. There is parking available. Be mindful of the horse trailers that are often parked and the leeway they need. The road to the parking is not paved but you do not need a special vehicle to get there. This cache is in the Wolf River Environmental Restoration Greenway trail system. You can hike, bike, and ride horses in this spot. Depending on the path you take, you'll see river, creeks, swamp, sand beaches, and thickets of evergreen.You may encounterr critters, bugs, thorns, poison ivy, horses, horse plops, scat...

Ode to JayBirder: Once upon a time, there was a challenging cache called JayBirder's Roost GC209W3. Ten years ago, our family spent many fun days following this trail in search of the Mourning Dove. JayBirder placed many caches developed from his hobby of bird watching... Songbirds, Hawks, Waterfowl, Forest birds and wading birds frequent this area. The journey started with preliminary clue caches: Call of the Barred Owl Cache GC209RD Killdeer Field Cache GC209VE Kingfisher Point Cache GC20XRT Noisey Crows Cache GC20Y8J Woody the Woodpecker Cache GC20YAH Wild Turkey Glade Cache GC20YA6. This was our first introduction to the “Wolf River Environmental Restoration Greenway Trail System” and the surrounding 2200 plus acres of Bottomland Hardwood Forest.
