Geocache Description:

Number 1671 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.

The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.

To find the cache you need to locate 'The Dogmersfield Christmas Tree' a few metres away on the village green (which would appear to double as the pub garden). The plaque at the base of the tree has six lines of text. Now work out the values of ABCDE by counting the number of letters in specific words as follows: A = line six/third word, B = line one/first word, C = line three/first word, D = line six/second word, E = line five/fourth word. You now have all the numbers you need to calculate the final coordinates as follows: N51 16.A(E-C-A)C W000 52.EBD Checksum for the final coordinates is 46.

If anybody would like to place 'A Fine Pair' of their own please do. I would just ask that you first visit www.afinepair.co.uk to request a number to avoid any duplication

mattd2k also keeps a public Bookmark List of this series. Once your cache is published please contact him via geocachingafinepair@gmail.com to have yours added
