This cache is being placed in conjunction with the 300 anniversary celebration for the Town of Chester on May 7, 2022.
Ms. Muriel Church was one of the last district schoolhouse teachers in Chester. She taught at the Towle School in the 1920s. In 1995, she passed ownership of Spring Hill Farm to Chester. The farmhouse is located at the corner of Wason and Towle Roads and the rest of the fields are here on Lane Road, nearly 600 acres.. She loved her students and was known for her hayrides and employing some of the students in the haymaking and tending of animals.
