Hidden away behind UTAS cradle coast campus and Maker’s workshop sits Little Penguin Observation Centre home to many little penguins. Created to give people amazing chances to view penguins naturally nesting as well as coming and going out to sea, while still giving the penguins best possible privacy and safety. There is many interesting displays information and signs to read and learn many things about the little penguins calling this beach home. There is plenty of parking near GZ coordinates.
As this is an area where penguins live, we didn’t want to place a cache that may cause any stress or damage to the penguin’s area. So, we’ve decided to create my first multi cache! At GZ you’ll find your self in the middle of the Little Penguin Observation Centre with many signs, displays and pictures of penguins as well as all the information you need to find the final Cache location! Have a walk around this Observation Centre learn some interesting things about theses penguins and find the 9 points of information to gain the information to find the final location all answers to the following questions are within a few metres of GZ. The final location is a short walk from GZ along the walk there is penguin nests so make sure to look out for them as you walk!
The little penguin observation centre is free to visit with designated parking next to the observation centre. While this centre is accessible at all times during dusk hours there are dedicated volunteers more than happy to talk about the little penguins and ask all questions you could think to ask!
