The church of St. Michael at Childs Ercall is an ancient building of stone in the Gothic style, consisting of a chancel, a nave of four bays, aisles and an embattled western tower with pinnacles which contains 3 bells:.
In 1879 the church was enlarged and restored under the direction of Messrs. Carpenter and Ingelow, of London, when a new north aisle and a chancel were built, the building was new roofed and re-seated, and a new pulpit and organ erected at the cost of the Rev. J. P. Noble, a former vicar.
We are a small village church with a warm welcome for all. We have one Morning communion service and an afternoon Family worship as well as new Family Communion service at 4pm on the fourth Sunday. We have a home group and a thriving Benefice Youth group.
