This camo-ed test strip container has had some adventures. It was a replacement container for It Wasn't A Puddle When I Parked. But it disappeared, and I eventually archived that cache and placed another one about 100 feet away. So today I was checking on Honey, Let's Cache (a mystery) that was right where it should be. But it had very few signatures on the nice dry log; that container is a test tube as its hint states. So I looked around some other spots including on the other side of the trail. I spotted this container hanging in a tree. It had damp and tattered log pieces. It's not a test tube. Hmm, there are some of the signatures that should be on the other log. So now I had a container to take home. Or not.
This camo-ed test strip container is hanging near the trunk of a tree near the river and the boat launch in the flood plain. If the river is high, your feet will get wet. But I didn't get my shoes muddy at all. I could see it with my eyes from the pavement, but the trees and foliage haven't filled in yet. This can be a busy spot. Try to notice the river, the bridge, and the information sign that mentions the flood plain in its first paragraph. There is a boat launch between the cache and the train tracks. It's not at the train tracks. Some maps may even show it in the river.
