Not all who wander are lost-Letterbox Cache Hybr#1 Letterbox Hybrid

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

GeoCacher2372: Sorry, but I've moved to the day shift with the living, so it has been a bit of challenge for me to get out there. I will disable this cache until I can get out there. I had a box that I thought would be good, but it was too big and noticeable for the area. Thank you for the update and sorry for the delay. Thanks for your patience!

Geocache Description:

For those who like to hike on unpaved roads, follow old worn out paths from long before, thank you for choosing this adventure today to find my little letterbox/cache hybrid. It starts with coordinated that take you to the parking lot of the Cavalier Park. The cache is not hidden there. But with patience and a sense of adventure you will find yourself on the hunt. You must follow written instructions in order to find the hidden cache-hybrid.

*****Best to try this in the winter when greenery is way down *****

This Letterbox can be found at the Cavalier Lacrosse Park in Leesburg, Va. The park is open from 8am-9pm M-F, & 11am-5pm on Sat. & Sun.

To find this letterbox: standing at the parking lot of the Cavalier Lacrosse Park, face north. From here you will see the black wooden fence and metal gate in front of you. There is a gravel path on your left inside the gate, take this path to the 3rd playing field.

You will see a tree line to your right at the 3rd field, head towards the 3rd field & the trees will be along the outside of the fence. At the end of the wooden fence there is a break by the goal, from here you will need to head into the woods.

There is a makeshift path, follow this heading North East until you see a clearing.

Ahead of you is a graffiti art cement mural a large sum of rocks, and boulders. A great place to skate board from the looks of the ramp to the right after ascending. Go to the skateboard ramp, pass the ramp you will see an open grass area and trees to your right.

Set your compass EAST. Go 30-60 steps down the grassy hill. You should be aligned with the tree line and the grass clearing (see to your right).

**Note: when you look to your right- you will see an open grass area leading to the paved road. That is too far past the Letterbox.

Look towards the open field South West by the trees on your right. Walk over to the pathway with a lone little pine-tree in the middle of it (looks like the tree is in the "eye"). There is a piece of white plastic tied to one of the little branches. Look hard for this piece of white plastic & for the tiny tree.

Look to the left of this tiny little tree. DO NOT go into the woods. Just stay at the tree line.

Look to your lower left. About 2 paces (4 1/2 steps) You will find a fallen tree that is still truly alive with vines all around it.

**Under the slender trunk you will find what you are looking for**

Please be sure to log and date your visit, and leave the stamp, log & pencil in the bag provided.

This is a LETTERBOX hybrid also, so it is on two different playing fields, with the same coordinates as well as hide location. You may run into a LETTERBOXER if you're lucky. This is my first ever Letterbox Cache Hybrid! Enjoy! For Cachers- there is nothing to trade. Just to sign the log and use the stamp if you want. If possible take a picture and share. TY!  Hope you had fun with what you've set out to seek on this little adventure of mine.

Please leave the stamp within the mini ziploc pouch- this is the game piece for Letterboxing.

Be sure everything is secure & tight so critters don't make a home of the cache and so the log will stay dryer.

Encouraging you to post photos of signed log book, but not required. Cache on!

Congrats to The Creeds & Thompsonkickers on FTF!- was happy to join you two when you messaged me.
