ROMANA
Zona era cunoscuta pe vremuri ca vama Branului. Negustorii care foloseau ”drumul Branului” plăteau o taxă vamală denumită ”tricesima”, reprezentând 3,3% din valoarea mărfurilor. La începutul secolului al XV-lea vama a fost arondată domnitorilor din Țara Românească, iar către sfârșitul aceluiași secol punctul vamal a fost arendat orașului Brașov, important punct economic al zonei. De-a lungul timpului vama s-a mai aflat și sub controlul austriac, în condițiile stăpânirii austriece din secolul XVIII asupra Transilvaniei.

The area was once known as the Bran customs. Merchants who used the "road of Bran" paid a customs duty called "thirteenth", representing 3.3% of the value of goods. At the beginning of the 15th century, the customs were assigned to the rulers of Wallachia, and towards the end of the same century the customs point was leased to the city of Brașov, an important economic point of the area. Over time, customs were also under Austrian control, under the conditions of the eighteenth-century Austrian rule over Transylvania.
