¾ mile down the Otero Canyon Trail that runs along the bottom of the canyon. Camo'd bison is 25 feet up and off the trail.
I didn't hear an Owl in this area, but I have heard them at Embudo Canyon and elsewhere. Which species I'm still trying to figure out, and will fill in the name when I do. I heard a couple of Owls calling each other near Yale Blvd and Tucker Ave NE on 8/20/2022. The bird app identified their hoots as Great Horned. SNEEZY took the cool background photo in the Bosque this summer. I wonder if Great Horned Owls prefer town to East Mountain locations like Otero Canyon?
