The Story
A long time ago, Pissouri Bay was guarded by a noble griffin. He was the fearless guardian of sailors, foothill dwellers, and greek merchants. But one day an evil sorcerer turned the majestic griffin into stone. Having learned about this, local pirates began to raid the bay and devastate the nearby villages. And now Pissouri Bay needs a hero who can find a griffin egg and raise a new guardian. This hero is you. And your path lies to the Griffin Nest...
The Place
This cache is located on the beautiful hiking trail Pissouri Blue Route. At the cache place, you can enjoy the magnificent panorama of Kuchara Cape and Pissouri Bay. If you go in summer, don't forget to take some water with you, cause it might be extremely hot. The route is quite popular among local hikers, so beware of muggles.
At the start of the route (from the Pissouri Bay side) there are free parking, public toilets, and showers. So you can enjoy a day on the beach after the hike.
The Cache
Will you dare to find the Griffin Nest? If so, check the cave nearby the frozen-in-stone griffin. Beware of the failing rocks and the evil sorcerer who can back at any minute!
- ⚠️ Please put the cache back exactly as you grab it! You have to go to the back side of the stone and go inside the small cave. The cache is in the small niche on the right
- ⚠️ Beware of muggles! There are plenty of tourists around, so use your stealth skills.
- ⚠️ Don't take the nest, only the egg!
- ⚠️ Ouch! Low stone ceilings!
