WE ARE BACK!

Rain or Shine
(Like rain ever stopped a Geocacher)

This year's event is a little like the old and little new. The team is hiding multiple caches in the area. Eight of which will be required for the game.

Details of the game will be given at the event.

 

Potluck picnic with hot dogs, hamburgers, and dinnerware provided by the Spring Fling Planning Crew.

Bring your own beverages.
Please bring a side dish and/or a dessert to complete the picnic potluck.
To ensure variety, please post a will attend with what you are bringing.

 

The event is being held at the Mt. Cory Masonic Lodge.
There is plenty of parking and restrooms are available.

9:30 am

Event registration starts.

 

9:40 am

FTF drawing for new Geo-Challenge caches.

Geo-Challenge rules to be read.

 

9:45 am

FTF winners receive coordinates to hunt the single cache they won the chance to be FTF, along with the full list of new geocaches.

 

10:00 am

Geo-Challenge starts for everyone else.
(GPX files and hand-outs will be provided. See details above.)

 

1:00 pm

Let's Eat

 

3:00 pm

All Geo-Challenge items must be submitted to determine the winner.

 The full list of new geocaches will contain ONLY the new cache listings, and will be available as both a printed hand-out and as a GPX file.

To use the optional GPX file:

Geocachers should load a Pocket Query 
of their unfound caches for the area, prior to arriving at the event.
 (Requires a Premium Membership to geocaching.com.)

A GSAK load of new geocaches in GPX format will be added to the existing geocaches in your GPS.

Please bring your own USB data cable to help insure that we can connect to your GPS unit to load the GPX files from the computers we will have at the event.

To help cover the cost of this facility rental, drinks & supplies, there is a $5 per adult (13&up). An additional donation jar will be at the registration table. We are trying to build a fund for future events.
One free 12 and under for each paid adult also included.

 

BRING: Travel Bugs to be "Discovered", "Dropped" or "Grabbed".
Signature items and collectables to show tell & trade.

REMEMBER TO TAKE THEM HOME WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE!
