またこの神社の奥の山には獅子吼城跡があり、ケヤキの奥からただることができます。獅子吼城は武田氏一門の江草氏の居城として知られおり、武田信玄の時代には、烽火ネットワークの中継基地として、重要な場所であったと考えられています。
