Soldiers park in Collie is located along the banks of the Collie River, with a dedication rose garden, and memorial built to honour those fallen in war. The entrance gates were erected as a memorial to WWI soldiers, while the archway was built to celebrate the states centenary in 1929.
Inside the entrance archway there are two plaques, one commenting on Australias involvement in wars, one year is mentioned, convert this year to ABCD
The other plaque comments on Australias world peacekeeping efforts, again one year is mentioned, this year shall be known as WXYZ
