Welcome to the Mercer Travelbug Hotel Geocache. The GPS coordinates will lead you to a small master lock box that requires a combination. The combination can be found only by your own research. If you found the lockbox look at the lot next door on the east side. You will see a big tree and a few Graves. This is Mercer cemetery. It is city maintained because the graves are very old. The Mercer family was the one of the original families (if not the original family) of Port Aransas.
Find the grave stone of Emma Mercer and find the year she was born. That 4 digit number is the combination of the lockbox at the fence. Take out the key and walk along the east side of the fence between the cemetery and houses and you will see another box on the fence that requires that key. Inside you will find many treasures for you to take with you on your journey, keep with you to remember us, and plenty of opportunities for you to leave your treasures behind. Happy geocaching!
