Geocache Description:

Another cache to make you think.  This is a preform with a lanyard tied to a tree.  You will be solving for the X's and Z's in the North coords N 28d XX.XXX' and W081D ZZ.ZZZ'

Now for the coordinates.  You have to work a couple of math word problems to get this one.

North coords will be the answer to the first question.  The final answer will be in seconds and will be 5 digits XX.XXX (round your final answer to three significant digits).

I recently had the pleasure of driving around Texas Motor Speedway, a 1.5 mile oval racetrack in Fort Worth, Texas.  My first lap was a paltry 140.970 miles per hour.  My second, third and fouth laps were at 162 to 165 miles per hour.  That was totally awesome!  How long did it take to make the first lap?

West coord will be the answer to the next question.  The final answer will be in minutes and will be 5 digits ZZ.ZZZ (round your answer to three significant digits).

I am always amazed at the speed drivers drive down the various highways, expressways, and interstates.  They all think they are getting to their destination quicker by driving fast.  So, just how much quicker are they getting to their destination if they are speeding?  Solve this question.  Lets say your destination is 30 miles away.  If you drive 65.05 MPH, it will take you 27.671 minutes to get to the destination.  How much time will the speeding driver save, compared to time it took you to drive the same distance, if they are driving at 85.470 MPH!  That is 20 miles per hour faster than you!  Round your answer to three significant digits.

The answer should suprise you and at the same time make you realize how insignificant excess speeding really is.
