Legionowo – miasto w województwie mazowieckim, siedziba powiatu legionowskiego, położone w Kotlinie Warszawskiej, w odległości ok. 22 km na północ od centrum stolicy. Miasto należy do aglomeracji warszawskiej. W latach 1975–1998 należało administracyjnie do województwa stołecznego warszawskiego.
Od 1999 miasto jest siedzibą powiatu legionowskiego. MIasto liczy ponad 50000 mieszkańców, a powiat ponad 100000. Legionowo jest tzw. miastem prezydenckim wg. ustawy z 1990 roku - na czele miasta stoi prezydent.
W roku 2000 miasto otrzymało nowy herb zgodnie z regułami heraldyki. W 2011 wybrano hasło promujące miasto: Legionowo. Porusza!
Legionowo uzyskało prawa miejskie w 1952 i w roku 2022 70-lecie ich nadania.

- Skrzynka jest letterboxem - tzn. pieczątka nie jest na wymianę i jest stałym elementem wyposażenia. Prosimy nie zabierać. Podobnie jak i logbook.
- Skrzynka jest TB hotelem - jest to bezpieczny hotel dla przedmiotów podróżnych typu travel bug, geocoin itp. Prosimy o wymianę TB, ale tak, żeby w skrzynce zostały co najmniej 2 sztuki.
- Skrzynka znajduje się pod pieczą Urzędu Miasta - przy podejmowaniu nie jest konieczna interakcja z osobami trzecimi, wszystkie osoby są powiadomione. W razie czego hasło geocaching otworzy ci drogę.
- Skrzynka nie wygląda jak skrzynka - użyj poprawnie checkera dla uzyskania wskazówek.
- Dostęp do skrzynki jest w godzinach pracy poniedziałek-piątek 08:00-16:00, ale w ciągu dnia poza tym czasem też się do niej dostaniesz.

Legionowo - a city in the Masovian Voivodeship, the seat of the Legionowo poviat, located in the Warsaw Basin, approx. 22 km north of the center of the capital. The city belongs to the Warsaw agglomeration. In the years 1975–1998, it belonged administratively to the capital city of Warsaw.
Since 1999, the city has been the seat of the Legionowo county. The city has over 50,000 inhabitants, and the poviat has over 100,000. Legionowo is the so-called presidential city by Act of 1990 - the president is the head of the city.

Important.
