It took the two Brisbane-based artists three weeks to paint these 30-metre high silos in July 2017. They were the first painted silos in Queensland and are still "working silos" today. The watering hole was inspired by three photographs taken by local people. It includes a majestic sunset, the Moonie River, Indigenous culture, wildlife, and agricultural heritage in the area. In 2018, Australia post featured the silos on a stamp. These silos are best viewed at sunrise when the whole sky around them is pink. It's definitely worth getting up early to see.
