Welcome to another cache on the Heysen Trail. This cache is all about the walk. I am suggesting that you park near the corner of Checker Hill Road and Valley View Road, and follow the Heysen Trail to the cache. IMPORTANT NOTE: The cache is located on public land. The section of the Heysen Trail between Checker Hill Road and the cache is on private land, and the owners have requested that their property is not crossed between December 1 and April 30. The cache can still be accessed between these dates by parking on South Para Road and picking up the Heysen Trail from the south, but this would make for a longer and harder hike. Plus you will miss some of the great views of Gumeracha and in most other directions that you will experience with approaching from the north.
Bring a camera, bring the kids, but leave the geopets at home, as you will likely encounter sheep, and currently poisoned baits have been laid for foxes. Be prepared to cross stiles. Enjoy the walk!
