As I was trying to figure out a name for this cache, I noticed that the rapids at this particular bend in the American River have their own name. Pretty cool. Never seen that for such a calm area of a river, but I like it. We actually were wandering around a few months ago and hid this cache then. When we came back a couple days ago to check on it, we came from a completely different direction. Good to know that you can wander around and find this cache from multiple sides.
Beware all the normal dangers of the parkway--ticks, poison oak and snakes are in the general area though none of my hides were near poison oak when placed.
