Same View, Same Query … Same Cache!
Whilst planning my Gog. Gwynedd Trail series, I thought it would be interesting to see what (if any) old caches used to be on the route. When I was digging through the geocache archives, I came across ‘A View Plus a Query’, hidden by Caneou at this location in April 2009, but archived in 2013.
Anyway, curious to see if anything was still there, but more intrigued to find out what was so interesting about this particular location that it sparked a discussion, I thought I’d come have a look.
On arrival, in May 2022, I located the old hint item, despite how faded it was, and after doing a little digging in the soil I found the original container (to my surprise 10 years on! I believe it was presumed missing in 2012 and replaced with a film pot which was removed after the page was archived).
I think that this is a truly interesting location, so after speaking to Caneou, I have listed it again on geocaching.com to be found again (although I'm not allowed to use the original hide date, so the date given is the day I found it again).
The original cache page is below (and the terms still apply 😉) if you think you can answer the query, please drop me a message!
A very quick & easy drive by or lane-side stroll
This cache has been placed on the North Wales Path for two reasons.
1. A wonderful view.
2. Well, you are going to have to go there to see for yourself. The more you look the more you see. But why there? Just because of the view? On the way to somewhere? Near to somewhere once?
Please don't reveal the little curiosity in your log.
Please take a pencil or pen as none in cache.
