Part of the Church Micro series. All cachers should be able to access this one, it is a simple one-step multi that requires you to find some information at the church gate and then make a short walk. This is an entirely new cache from my previous CM6823 - that had to be archived as the end-point was compromised.
The cache is placed on public land and is not in the churchyard. You can gather the information without entering.
The Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Great Brickhill
The church was first built in the thirteenth century and has had a number of additions since then. It is a Grade II Listed building.
The church used to have a peal of six bells. At present these are being refurbished, the tower is being strengthened and two new bells are being cast so that an eight bell peal can be replaced.
The church is currently undergoing a number of refurbishment projects.
The Cache
The cache is a 150ml screw-top plastic tub covered in camo tape. There is limited room for trackables and swaps.
To find the cache, go to the given coordinates. Here you will find a noticeboard, gates, and a nice view along the path to the church itself.
The cache can be found at N 51o 58.(A-((B+C)*(B+C))(A-B-C)(A-B) W 000o 41.(B+B+C)(B-C-C)(A-C) where:
- A = Number of spikes on the top of each gate
- B = Number of gates at the entrance
- C = Number of lampposts visible when looking down the pathway towards the church
The cache should be accessed from the footpath, not from the street
