Look what happens when a cacher does trail work ...
The Santa Monica Mountains Trails Council (SMMTC.org) trail crew was working in Malibu Creek SP on the Lost Cabin trail. When we got near the end of the trail, Dave, the crewleader, mentioned that darb use to have a cache here, Judy's Cabin, that was burned in the Woolsey fire, and pointed out the general location. He had mentioned this fact previously as we discussed geocaching, so I came prepared with a "cabin" to hide.
At the initial coordinates you will see the iconic M*A*S*H signpost, pointing to various locations "home"
The cache is located at N 34° 05.ABC W 118° 44.XYZ where:
ABC = Distance to Coney Island (in miles) - 6490
DEF = Distance to Burbank - Distance to San Francisco - 22
Checksum for ABC and DEF is 19

Happy Caching! A cache a day keeps the doctor away
Feedback is always appreciated on the difficulty/terrain ratings, cache descriptions, etc - thanks.
