Link to the Don't Flood the Bath! Adventure Lab
Completing the Adventure Lab will provide you with a 5-character alphanumeric string "ABCDE". The stages of the Adventure are numbered 1-5, use the characters in this order. Enter the string into Certitude and the coordinates of the cache and a hint will be provided.
This cache is located near the Victoria Bridge. Victoria Bridge is an important example of a suspension bridge that initially carried horses and carts but later carried cyclists and pedestrians. Built in 1836, the bridge has been recognised as a Grade II* listed building. For this reason this cache is also part of the Little Bridges Series.

About the Adventure Lab
The reason for the Adventure Lab is two-fold. Firstly, so you can enjoy a stroll along the Avon River in Bath. And secondly, to provide you with a bit of the history of flooding in Bath, and what has been done to protect the city.
The Bath flood alleviation scheme was completed in 1974 to protect the city. Without it, the Environment Agency says the city would have flooded in 1979, 1982, 1995, 2000, and 2013. The last of Bath's 'great floods' before the scheme was in 1969.

The Route:
The Adventure Lab route follows the river as much as possible. It makes a "V" shape (similar to Pulteney Weir) as shown in the yellow highlighted section on the map. The Adventure Lab can be done in any order, though this bonus is hidden within the red circle. I walked it starting at Victoria Bridge (which is numbered as Stage 1), completing the Adventure Lab at Grove Street (Stage 5), then walked back through the city to Victoria Bridge, making a loop as shown on the map. As a one-way walk, you could walk it in the other direction, start at Grove Street and finish at Victoria Bridge (where you will be near this bonus).
The 51 minutes and 2.5 miles shown on the map is for the complete loop.

"May require swimming" - only if there is a flood!
The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then, the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast. There is a stats listing, so you can see how many Little Bridges you have found, you can find it here: - https://www.littlebridgesseries.co.uk. If you would like to add to the series, please go to this site, on the tab Get Involved click number request and fill in the form. To qualify, the bridge must be a footbridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xxxx then the name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to stats list.
