It is time once again to dust off your tents, polish the trailer, and pack your coolers! We are back with another fun-filled week of insanity and chaos.
For those that don't know, every two years we reserve a portion of Champoeg State Park for a long weekend. Cachers come together from all over to talk, eat, drink, and share, all during a themed weekend.
This year, the theme is Comic Conpoeg: Heroes vs Villains. Campers decorate their campsites, wear costumes, and participate in a weekend full of themed activities.
This isn't a traditional Geocaching event... It's about the cachers, not the caching. It's a chance to get to know a bunch of awesome people you have something in common with.
There's no official coin.
There's no official cache hunt.
There's no selling of any merchandise at the event.
It's all about the experience and the people.
That's not to say that people will not be trading coins and setting up temporary caches... They will!
