Geocache Description:

Front Page Challenge is one of the longest running non news Canadian television programs.  This panel game show had an incredible run from 1957 to 1995 on CBC.  Focusing on current events and history, a panel of four veteran journalists had two minutes to identify a news story by asking questions of a guest who was usually hidden from the panelists.  Panelists tended to have lengthy runs on the show. The most significant ones were Pierre Berton, Betty Kennedy, Gordon Sinclair, Allan Fotheringham and Jack Webster.  Fred Davis served as host and moderator for most of the show's run.  Some notable guests through the years included Pierre Trudeau, Indira Ghandi, Malcolm X, Gordie Howe, Boris Karloff and Ed Sullivan. A young Shania Twain was a guest on the final episode in 1996.

This cache is part of a series commemorating outstanding Canadian television shows of the past.  It has been placed for SCAR2022 and is not to be found nor logged prior to 5:30 pm Friday, May 27th.
