The original cache has been in place for nine years until wasps took residence at GZ and it became dangerous to approach. It was placed to make people aware of an alternative route to Tapwera and a series of caches on the way.
There are steep drop offs, blind corners and "unsafe for children" places. Traveling FROM Glenhope the road is unsealed, narrow, winding and without road markings for the first 15km. Then it becomes a sealed and marked 2-lane country road all the way to Tapawera and beyond. The cache is secured with some rocks, pls leave as found.
