The Long March
If traveling east towards #13, the path heading directly south from this geocache is really strange: along this driveway. Then left of the house, through the garden gate, across a couple of back yards, down a long driveway, up a long driveway, along the edge of a really nice garden by an enormous hedge, through another garden gate, across a working yard, and finally down a gated alleyway.
It’s really strange but more interesting than the narrow pavement on the main road. Just smile and be nice to anyone who is in their back garden, especially if they are having a party! Obviously don’t linger on someone’s private land, but remember that you do have a right of way that’s older than their garden, so they’ll be nice to you!
Or there is a shop and café at the Texaco station on the main road if you wish to divert for supplies. Check they are open (shop: 01283 829700 and café 01283 820 66).
