Geocache Description:


The Cache is a nano sized magnetic capsule with a log inside, tweezers may be needed as the log can sometimes jam. This geocache is situated near the entrance of the Lainshaw Woods. Within the Lainshaw Woods you will find a nature trail that is marked by a series of information panels. The trail is indicated by the red dotted line in the following map of the woods attached. The original map appears on a panel at the main entrance to Lainshaw Woods in David Dale Avenue, Stewarton. The map's design and artwork were created  by Mark Davies.

Depending on the time of year and time of day, mammals, insects and birds that you may see in and around the Woods and Annick Water include:

Greater Spotted Woodpeckers

Roe Deer

Dippers

Bullfinches

Otters

Peacock Butterflies

Treecreepers
