We (Berrydehamster and NLBokkie) always try to contribute to a cleaner world when we can. While on holiday in the area, we've chosen the beautiful Lihou Island to organise a CITO event.
The time frame of this event is based on the opening time of the causeway to the island, found here. It should be safe to cross during these times.
Please note that:
- You'll have to bring your own cleaning kit, while we will provide the disposal bags and arrange for disposal.
- The causeway to the island is uneven and probably wet in places. Please do wear sturdy footwear. Crossing the causeway can take up to 20 minutes or more.
- This is supposedly the most beautiful time of the year to visit the island. But it's also bird breeding season. We are welcome to visit, but we will strictly stick to the paths.
- Dogs are not allowed on the island.
- You might want to bring binoculars to spot the many species of birds found in the area.
