Zachary Birchbar was Oak Creek's greatest adventurer and explorer, he conquered many magical places throughout Oak Creek, but this grove he never returned to, the monster within scared him straight!
The tale goes:
"I was exploring the many forests of this great region when I came across a peculiar clearing of daffodils and tulips. They were plump and colorful and I couldn't restrain from picking a few. As I plucked the first one from the ground, the earth beneath it shook and a rather large troll made of oak wood stood up tremendously! I had plucked the flower from its back! It looked at me from underneath bangs of moss with pale green eyes and growled,
"WHAT BRINGS YOU TO THIS GROVE HUMAN?"
I shakily responded, "I-I am only travelling through this magnificent forest, oh great prince of this grove (forest trolls love flattery)."
"WELL, GET ON WITH IT THEN!" he bellowed as he started laying back down to return to his slumber. I made a hasty retreat and haven't returned since."

(This was the first cache in a fantasy series I did years ago as a teenager around Oak Creek. Due to me growing up and out of caching, this cache fell into disrepair and was eventually archived. I have overhauled the cache container to stay within the D/T rating and the spirit of the original cache and now it's back for cachers to enjoy. The original cache had 13 favorites for its hide design and location and I hope it garners many more. )
