The Cache is hidded at the Tawa Lookout on the Eastern Hills (Greenacres) above Tawa,
The Tawa Lookout was built by in 2008 by the Tawa Rotary Group. It's a small elevated platform next to the Greenacres Water Supply Tower.
At the time the lookout was built , there wasn't much else up on the hill apart from lots of grass the water tower and spectacular views over Tawa.
The Council decided it would be a great idea to plant a range of native plants right beneath the lookout platform. What they failed to take into account was the growth of the native trees that have now grown up so high that they spoil the view. However, it's now a geat location to hide a cache !
If it's a panoramic view of Tawa that youre after, you can still get good views if you walk below the native trees from the grass bank. Just not on the viewing platform.
The Cache:
Is a large Sistemsa Container. Contents when hidden 2 pens, pencil, rubber, log book, several trinkets (prizes).
