After 373 finds and 80 Favorite Points, "This'll Be the Day... You Cache Clear Lake!" is taking a temporary break.

Three Stars Plaza is being transformed as construction begins on The Oaks Hotel, so the cache has been disabled until the project is complete.

The plan is to bring this cache back to its rightful stage by November 30, 2027, when cachers can once again visit this special place that honors Clear Lake's unique place in music history.

The site of a former gas station, this land was purchased and transformed by the City to commemorate Clear Lake's place in the history of American music that is associated with "the day the music died." Be sure to use the interactive feature for the full experience. Once you've found the cache, spin the lock back in time to the year that this monument was dedicated. When you close the lock be sure to spin the numbers so it is ready for the next cacher.
