This small park is located on the site of the old Lincoln High School, also known as the Middlesboro Colored Public School. The school operated from 1910 until 1965.
My dad grew up in Middlesboro, and my grandparents lived there until they passed, so we visited the town frequently. I think I learned more about Middlesboro today than I did in all my previous visits combined.
